Puni and Cheekie

Puni is a little chiweenie dog that came in Rainbow's (tamara Tavernier)life when she asked 'the Universe' for a little dog to keep her beloved kitty Cheekie baby safe.
Cheekie had a lot of health problems and Rainbow was taking care of him the best she can. He was living in the park. the house next to the park was their refuge when there was nobody there. its Rainbow's friends house.
Cheekie's health issues were very challenging for her.
He had twice crystals in his bladder and she saved his life twice. Then he suffered from pemphigus.
A horrible immune disease of the skin.

Three vets on the Big island were incompetent to help him. Even abandoned him. Luckily Rainbow had her good friend vet friend from California and together with Dr Stang from North kohala they tried to switch Cheekie's illness around. Rainbow learned a lot about the disease. Nothing would be too much for her to help him heal. She sacrificed most of her time and went even sleeping next to him in the park because that's what made him feel safe and best.

He started having imbalance issues and mini strokes and that's why Rainbow asked the Universe to have a little dog to warn Cheekie for danger.
She had no clue how fast the Universe would deliver her little dog. Four hours later her little dog showed up in the middle of the highway skin and bones. Rainbow stopped all traffic and picked up the little dog from being run over.
Cheekie got a little sister. She was so tiny as Rainbow's shoe size. (10 in women) See pic 4 how tiny and skinny she was.
Rainbow stayed with Cheekie as much as she could to keep him safe together with Puni.

At the end of his life he couldn't left behind and she had to take him with her. He would sit on her right lab, Puni on her left.

Rainbow had a vision to give cheekie a real home so he would get better. She had to be so in tune with him because he couldn't pee nor poop anywhere else than in the park. She had to hold him up because of his imbalance issues. Nothing was too much for her. Any minute with him was a joyful one.
He didn't suffer until the last three days of his life when he stopped eating and drinking. That's when she knew she had to liberate him from his body.

The t-shirts and rashguards that she created to give Cheekie a home arrived about two weeks before he died. She created the tag inside the shirts ;PUNICHEEKIE.
It's her little dog and Cheekie. The two beings that were the closest to her heart.
She was scared for about two years Cheekie would die but because she brought him back to health every time, she still had hope he would heal.

Heartbreaking for Rainbow her baby Cheekie baby died 14 days after the t-shirts arrived.
Cheekie died with Rainbow holding him in her arms at 2 am in the morning of September 6th while she was massaging his little paws.
She grieves enormously and Puni is a gift in Rainbow's life.
It was her dream that people who come on the island would ask for PUNICHEEKIE shirts.
The Punicheekie shirts with the energy of Cheekie (the grounded peaceful one) and Puni (the happy playful loving one)
Rainbow beliefs that art carries and energy and her artwork is full of love and joy and she wants to bring that into the world.
Her beloved Cheekie appeared as a dragonfly, and an orange butterfly and she beliefs that his spirit is helping her making this dream come true.
Puni and Rainbow are ready for their forever home.
